Hi, this is my childhood dog Snooky. She is an 11-year-old Pomeranian Chihuahua mix who is sweet, sassy, loving, smart, goofy, and so much more. I got Snooky when I was 12, and ever since, she has been my best friend. She has gotten me through some of the toughest times in my life, and I couldn't imagine my life without her.

Recently, the unthinkable happened. My boyfriend and I noticed that Snooky had not been feeling well, so we scheduled her a vet appointment. At the vet, they took her blood, did an X-ray, and tested all her vitals. We never could have prepared ourselves for the terrible news we received. They diagnosed Snooky with pyometra, a life-threatening infection of the uterus. Essentially, her uterus had filled up with bacteria and pus and could rupture at any time, which would kill her. They told us she had to have emergency surgery immediately to save her. We were distraught. We didn't know if our poor baby was going to make it.

After this, we rushed her to an emergency vet where she was taken back and prepped for surgery. Anyone who has had to take their fur baby to an emergency vet knows how expensive it is, but that was not more important than Snooky's life. We told them to do everything they needed to do to save her, and we would figure out the money issue later. Luckily, I was able to sign up for a payment plan so we could make payments on the bill. My boyfriend and I are both full-time college students, and paying this bill will be very difficult for us. This is why we are asking for support from anyone who can help. Anyone who knows us knows that our dogs are like our children, and we would do anything for them.
