After spending months in the hospital, cooking became my therapy and my outlet. It gave me a second chance at life and a new perspective on everything. What started as a simple hobby quickly grew into something much more meaningful. The smiles on friends’ faces, the mind-blown emojis when I shared photos of my food, and the genuine joy people feel when good food is in front of them—these moments have fueled my passion and drive.

Now, my BBQ team and I have been invited to the world championships for the RCOA in Oklahoma. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, but the costs of fuel, lodging, supplies, meat, entry fees, and practice supplies are more than we can manage alone.
