My name is Ciara, and I am raising funds for my senior cat, Smokey, who has been by my side for 12 years. Smokey is my heart, and it is incredibly painful to watch his quality of life decline. He has lost a significant amount of weight, going from 7.8 pounds to just 5.5 pounds. He has been sleeping more, and the hardest part is knowing he is hungry but cannot eat properly because of his dental issues. After already spending $1,000 on tests to find out what was wrong, his vet has now told me he needs a dental procedure that will cost over $2,000.

The funds from this fundraiser will go directly toward Smokey’s dental care, including the full two-day process. On the first day, he needs lab work, and on the second day he will need sedation and possibly extractions, followed by medication for aftercare. I am currently in school full time to become a sonographer, and I am also paying my own tuition, so taking on this unexpected expense has been overwhelming.
