In April 2025, my brother Christopher “Smitty” Smith was involved in a devastating car accident in Odessa, Texas, that changed his life in an instant. Smitty, a hardworking plumber, spent six long months in the hospital fighting to recover from his injuries. He has only been home for about three months, and every day is a new challenge as he works to regain his strength and independence.
Because of the severity of his injuries, Smitty has been unable to work for the past nine months. The financial strain has been overwhelming, with medical bills, housing costs, and everyday expenses piling up. Smitty is now facing the heartbreaking possibility of losing his home while he is still in the midst of his recovery. He is staying with me and our family as he heals, but the road ahead is long and uncertain.
We are reaching out to our community for help to raise funds that will cover Smitty’s basic living expenses, housing, medical bills, and other necessities. Any amount—no matter how small—will make a meaningful difference during this incredibly difficult time. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser. Your support, prayers, and kindness mean more than words can express. Thank you for helping Smitty on his journey to recovery.
