Help Smiley Causey Heal: Donate for Her Care

Dear Friends, Family and Colleagues of the Causey family,

On the morning of July 17th, 2024, Ashley went to wake up Smiley as she told her the night before she would wake her before she left for work (Ashley says this was Devine intervention because she normally would let her sleep). As soon as Ashley saw Smiley, she knew something was wrong. Smiley showed signs of a stroke and was immediately sent to Trident hospital where it was determined she'd had a major stroke. It was then decided after consulting with many friends and family members, MUSC would be able to better treat her due to their amazing NSICU. Smiley would undergo a laparoscopic thrombotomy shortly after arriving. Smiley's journey has just begun, she has a long road ahead to recover. If you know Smiley, you know she is the very best at taking care of the people she loves. Burt, Ashley and Garrett want to take the very best care of her, because she deserves all the support that can be offered. We are reaching out for your support at this extremely difficult time, as Smiley's family will need to focus on her recovery as much as they can. Please consider financial donations to the family, my goal is for them to not worry for a second about the multiple medical bills coming to them. They will have expenses associated with travel, food, medications, medical bills/copays, rehabilitation care and lost wages.
