Hi everyone,
This is one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to write.
Our family runs a small ice cream truck — something we built with love, late nights, and a whole lot of hope. It’s more than a business to us. It’s how we support our two young kids. It’s how we’ve connected with our community. It’s how we’ve created memories with so many of you who have waved us down, shared stories with us, and let us be a tiny part of your day.
But this new year brought us a heartbreak we never expected.
A breaker went bad overnight, and every freezer on our truck shut off. By the time we discovered it, everything we had — every bit of ice cream we invested in, every treat we were counting on to start the year strong — had melted. Just gone.
As a small family trying to make ends meet after the holidays, this loss is overwhelming. We’re doing everything we can, but replacing all of our inventory at once is more than we can manage on our own right now.
We’re reaching out because we truly need help to get back on the road. Any donation, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to rebuilding what we lost. Even sharing this means more than you know.
We’ve always believed in kindness, in community, and in showing up for people. Over the years, so many of you have shown up for us with your smiles, your support, and your kind words. We’re holding onto that now, hoping we can get through this setback with the help of the people who have made this little ice cream truck feel like something bigger than just a business.
From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for reading, thank you for caring, and thank you for helping our family find our way forward.
— Smiles 4 Miles Family
