Help Sly's Friend!

Hi friends and fam! For his 2nd birthday, Sly has a special request.

 

As a pandemic baby, Sly has had very few people enter his life. And one of his very favorites, Maria*, needs our support.

 

Maria takes care of Sly’s (only) friend. Every morning they meet up with Sly and Carolina and go on grand adventures. Maria is a bright light in our lives, perhaps most evident when Sly literally gallops to embrace her.

 

Maria and her family came to the United States seeking asylum. She made the impossible decision to leave her home and family behind in the hopes of finding a better future for them all.

 

In the past few weeks, life has been throwing a lot at their family. Her mother, still in Guatemala, lost her leg to gangrene and is unable to pay the medical bill (thousands). Her two year old daughter had surgery and is recovering well but Maria and her husband had to take time off of work to care for her. And her next round of immigration work papers are due, along with the hefty processing fees (also thousands).

 

So, for Sly’s birthday, he would love it if you could help his friend- any amount helps. Peace and love!
