Help Slicker's Eatery with Hurricane Recovery
Donation protected
Hi, friends.
Thank you to everyone who has checked in, dropped off items, helped clean up, or generously donated to Slicker's Eatery. We have been overwhelmed by your support and kindness.
We’ll be honest, we’ve all lost a lot. Cortez and AMI have a long way to go. It's honestly hard to even see a path forward at the moment. Water was up to waist height throughout the entire restaurant; we lost all appliances, all walls and electric were torn out, supplies are ruined. Our team doesn't have jobs but we have each other and that is everything.
As you can imagine, we don’t have a timeline yet. But we do know that we are resilient people who love this community deeply. So while we’re digging our way through this mess, we thank you for any bit of help. The donations you've made through our Venmo are making it possible for us to continue this work. We’re currently asking for donations that are going directly to our restaurant relief recovery from the hurricane. My dad, Bob Slicker, has dedicated his life to charity work... Now's the time for him and his people to receive some of that goodness themselves.
In the meantime, know we’re here for you in any way we can! Swing through and get a free hot dog, water, or snack—our friends and team members will be set up at the tent out front of Slicker’s from 11-5pm for the next few days. Feel free to offer them a hand or stop by and get what you need. We all deserve some help.
For Goodness’ sake
