Hi, Id like you to meet Slev. He is a 7 year old amazing soccer player from Henderson, NV. He joined our team late last year and his family was able to do some fundraisers in order for him to pay the club fees to join our team (I am the coach). He & his Mom fit right in to our team culture and Slev improved so much in skill & confidence in the 4 months he was a part of our team. Fast-forward to this summer, Slev’s parents live only on what they can make each month. Annual Club fees are expensive and are not attainable for their budget… in addition, our club just switched uniform vendors and each player has to buy all new kits for this coming year.

The framework of competitive American youth soccer is exactly the opposite of what it is in the rest of the world — in America, it is a business that operates by “pay to play” focused solely on the middle class and above.

I am asking my soccer friends and family to join me in raising funds for Slev’s passion to be able to play this season on my club team and buy his uniforms. This is an amazing young lad and player with a positive attitude and a great work ethic. I am doing this on my own without being asked or coerced by anyone or any organization.
