Hi, my name is Sophia Heatherman, and I’m 12 years old. I’m writing this because my cat, Sleepy, who has always been one of the sweetest and gentlest cats I’ve ever known, has been struggling for the past month with what might be gingivitis or a really serious gum problem. Every day it seems to get worse. He’s stopped eating the way he used to, and now he’s getting so skinny that it scares me. It hurts to watch him try to chew and then move away from his food because it clearly causes him pain.

The only way to help him is with dental care that costs over a thousand dollars, but my family already has three cats and two dogs, and we just can’t afford something so expensive right now, even though we desperately wish we could. Sleepy means so much to me, and I hate seeing him suffer like this. Any funds we receive will go directly toward getting Sleepy the urgent dental care he needs to stop his pain and start eating normally again. The treatment will help diagnose exactly what’s going on in his mouth, clean and treat the infected areas, and relieve the severe gum problems that have been making it hard for him to eat for over a month.

With proper dental work, medication, and follow-up care, Sleepy will finally have a chance to heal, gain back the weight he’s lost, and live comfortably again. Every bit of support brings him one step closer to being healthy, happy, and free from the pain he’s been struggling with. I feel bad for asking for help at all, but anything would really mean the world to us and could help us finally get him the care he needs to stop hurting.
