Help SLATR fund New Vinyl Album and Music Video

***Thank you Nancy Mae for shooting and directing our promo!
Grandest Greetings, dear friends and fans! Sandra Love and The Reason (Sandra Love, John Krupa, Max Valentino and Bob Danos) have been very busy this past year. MUSIC has literally saved us, and brought the band closer together. We were able to create new songs in an unhurried time frame. Somehow we even managed to snag a few performances, to include opening for George Porter Jr, and The New Orleans Suspects! Now we need to record that hard work, and bring forth something for you all to cherish forever! Yay vinyl!
Sooooo, here we are, being awkward, and asking for money in the weirdest of times. May you excuse our ill timing; but we feel it never hurts to ask-or take risks. You never know what you might receive...
Your donation will help us tremendously! Your $$$ shall expedite the remaining steps of this project, and allow us to achieve a late spring album release.
Another HUGE way you can help us out is by SHARING THIS FUNDRAISER, visiting our website Sandra Love and The Reason and liking us on Facebook and Instagram
We thank you from the depths of our being for believing in us. We promise to pour our hearts and souls into creating this album! Making music has been OUR REASON for being this past year.
We promise to post updates on our progress!
We love you dearly!

We are recording in New Orleans with producer Leslie Blaskshear Smith in her beautiful 1780’s home. This building has amazing resonance and acoustic properties that are both sonically and spiritually present in our songs that are recorded there. We are also thrilled to be working with engineer David Farrell, who has engineered and worked with hundreds of great artists in New Orleans and beyond over the past 40 years.
We are releasing the album on vinyl! We believe in the superior soul quality of vinyl records as well as the aesthetics of large album art and liner notes. Not to mention the tactile pleasure of holding a LP. We will also release the album on CD and digitally for promotion and for those who prefer it.
Speaking of artwork, the cover will feature artwork by the great Marald Van Haasteren from the Netherlands. Marald has collaborated with our guitarist John since their early days in the punk rock scene for almost 30 years. He has done art for tons of bands and projects and we are quite honored that he is working with us on this project. https://maraldart.tumblr.com
Our music video will be a song from our upcoming album, and we are in talks with an award winning director to bring our vision to life. (More details to come on this)
While we are super excited to be bringing this project to light, the costs of doing such a high quality release are quite high. We have come up with a conservative estimate that includes: studio time, artwork, mastering for vinyl, CD and digital formats, master lacquers, metal stampers, record pressing, jacket and insert printing, center label printing, and CD production. We also have prepared a conservative estimate for shooting our first music video. Pre production planning, production, and post production of the video have all been priced out. So far we estimate a (conservative) cost of $9999 to cover these. We say this is a conservative estimate because we have not yet factored in postage and shipping fees, publishing fees, promotion and publicity.
