Help Skylar Sos' Family Avoid Homelessness

Hello, my name is Skylar Sos.

My Dad originally worked as an electrician/engineer of sorts for about 14 years, but as of February 2024, Dad lost his job due to his boss being discriminatory to him about his age. As a family of 8, we've all been working on learning about our mental and physical health conditions and none of us have jobs. But since Dad's job was our only stable source of income, we are now flat-out broke. And it's not as if we haven't been trying our best to prevent this from happening. Mom and Dad have been trying to find resources left and right, I originally thought SSI could help (but I got denied on July 11th 2024), and several other siblings are actively receiving training or looking into jobs. The problem, however, lies in the fact that because only our mom is earning money, we can't afford anything. Utilities, mortgage, etc. And we need time in order for interviews and plans to earn money through college to work.

We were under an eviction notice in January of this year, and I only just now found out that we're now facing a second eviction notice because mom and dad are severely behind on their payments.

So I asked him upfront what the amount we need is in order to stay in this house and he said that the amount we're looking at is $15000 to pay off our mortgage and help nullify the foreclosure notice.

Any amount, no matter how big or small, will help us, and I ask that if you can't donate, then please help us share this around as I know my reach isn't that great and the more people that see this, the better. Thank you.
