I am humble and need help for medical bills. On Monday, 1/12/25, my son was walking my 2 small dogs on leash when 2 Pit bulls came from nowhere and attacked my Skylar (9lb Papillon). If it hadn’t been for two incredible neighbors—true angels—who stopped their car to help catch and secure the two dogs, Skylar wouldn’t be alive today. I’ve already spent more than $12,000 on Skylar’s emergency care, and the expenses are still growing. My credit cards are maxed out, and she’ll need ongoing treatment for the next six weeks—two visits each week—to have her leg placed in a splint, rewrapped, and her puncture wounds checked. This situation has become overwhelming both emotionally and financially. I’m reaching out because I’m in a very difficult situation. I had surgery 7 months ago, and I’m still paying the hospital monthly payments for the deductibles. About ten days ago, my heater broke, and I had no choice but to replace it. The total cost was over $10,000, which completely exhausted my savings. At this point, there is no money left, and I’m struggling to manage both the medical recovery and this unexpected expense. The individual who owns the dogs is a tenant, and both she and the property owner have failed to cooperate. If anyone is able to help or offer support, it would mean more than I can express.
