Hi, my name is Lauren. I’m Erica’s sister and Skylar’s aunt.

I am coming to you all on behalf of my sweet niece Skylar who is in need of a miracle for her health. As most of you know, last year, after weeks of odd and terrifying symptoms, Skylar was diagnosed with neuroblastoma cancer when a tumor was found on her kidney. This also triggered a rare autoimmune disorder known as OMAS. Her tumor was successfully removed and she has been on treatments for OMAS since. It has been a long road to recovery full of ups and downs.

Recently, some of the old symptoms started back up and we have seen a change in the sweet spirited girl we once knew. She is barely sleeping at night. During the day she is having major outbursts of anger and self harm. More than typical for her age. It’s become clear something is not right. Erica has pushed for doctors to do more testing, insisting it is more than behavioral. After being dismissed many times, she was finally evaluated by her care team at Vanderbilt, it has been confirmed she has been having seizures. During her study, she’s having one as often as every 15 minutes!! Far too many to fully count, and the risks are high and unknown. Answers are still unclear but everyone strongly feels this is all still connected to last year’s diagnosis.

The days and nights have been long for Erica and Troy. And we can all agree the back and forth to Nashville adds up quick. They are looking further into second opinions at other hospitals, which will also increase the already hefty financial burden.

I am asking you all to please pray for my sweet niece, Skylar. Pray for her brain to function the way God has intended. Speak LIFE over her, pray for her body to come into alignment with the Word of God. Pray for her sister, Ava, and her parents, Erica and Troy. And pray about how you may can help financially.
