Help Skylar and Fred Through This Challenging Pregnancy

Donation protected
Hello Everyone

As of April 8, 2025 my daughter Skylar Pittman and her fiancé Fred Bradley heard some devastating news that no first time parents want to hear about their pregnancy. Unfortunately, Skylar's water prematurely ruptured at only 24 weeks and she is currently hospitalized at the Trinity Health Hospital in Ypsilanti about 45 minutes from home. Over the last 14 days Skylar has received numerous tests and monitoring of the baby to make sure he is still within safe range to continue growing inside without having to come early. Even though Skylar's water has ruptured she is not having contractions and is NOT in labor by any means. She has continued to lose fluid in small amounts but thanks to baby Weston being head down and using himself as a plug and she has not been losing as much fluid as she was in the beginning. She has been on continuous antibiotics and several other medications throughout this journey to refrain from getting an infection which has worked thus far. Baby Weston has done phenomenal due to the unfortunate circumstances that have occurred. Baby Weston has had a few small dips in his heartrate that have been concerning at times but doctors have reassured them that at this stage and due to the circumstances this is considered normal. All in all everyone is physically doing as good as they can be but emotionally not so much. This has been a lot for Skylar and Fred to navigate as young parents with Fred having to go back and forth from home to work and hold everything together while Skylar is hospitalized for the next 8-10 weeks or longer. We want Baby Weston to hold on as long as possible but unfortunately Skylar will not be going home until he is born.

As of April 20, 2025, Skylar has been informed that she is Anemic and requires iron infusions which has been mentally and physically draining for her. She is unable to leave the hospital so their plan is to start physical therapy to keep her mobile while she is there. The doctors have told them that Weston will not make it to full term, but they are doing everything they can to get him to at least 30 weeks. This means that even when Weston is born, he will remain in the hospital and Skylar and Fred will have to continue to go back and forth from home to the hospital.

Skylar and Fred are hard working young parents who have and continue to do the best they can. This unfortunate turn of events has had an effect on them financially. Skylar has been unable to work since she was hospitalized so that means Fred is the only source of income right now. They have been able to purchase their own home at a young age, but now are finding themselves in a hardship. With all of their bills from medical expenses to their house, dogs, vehicles and transportation to and from the hospital, we are asking for any support. Whether that be prays or monetary donations, anything would be greatly appreciated. The smallest amounts could help them keep afloat and continuing on this unfortunate journey.
