About a month ago, we found a tiny kitten on the side of the road. The kitten was crying and dragging his back legs behind him, barely able to move. We rushed to the emergency vet and they told us the kitten was about 8 weeks old and had a dislocated hip on his right side. We named him Skye, and committed to getting him everything he needs to heal.

After many vet consults and visits, an orthopedic specialist at Eclipse Veterinary Hospital confirmed the dislocated hip and also found bilateral distal fractures in both of his hind legs. He will need surgical repair of the fractures, follow-up care, X-rays and pain management.

The estimated cost of everything is $8,000. We’re doing everything we can as a family to cover expenses, but we need help to give Skye the best chance at recovery.
