Hello, I go by Skye (not my government name). I am a queer person the victim of a hate crime, job scam, and forced conversion in Vermont.

I have been struggling to get back on my feet. While most public services in Vermont have been incredibly helpful, the Housing Unit of their Economic Services division has been making some quite unreasonable demands, such as requiring me to coordinate with various agencies in the Department of Labor (which use email or Zoom) but not providing me reliable internet access. Further, I have recurring bills such as a storage unit in Southern California and lingering traffic tickets I have no means to pay.

This is just the tip of the iceberg, as my family has managed to cut me off from resources and financially abuse me for decades, which in turn led to several other people taking advantage of me. I need emergency funds to help me through this especially tough time and break free of the cycle of abuse my family has managed to trap me in, and to seek the justice and accountability necessary for me to live a free life with long-term peace of mind.
