Sky has been part of our family for the past seven years. We adopted her as a stray, and she quickly became one of the most loved parts of our lives. She’s always been a gentle, quiet dog, and seeing her suddenly lose the ability to walk or feel her hind legs has been heartbreaking for our family. After visiting multiple vets, we were told she may have IVDD and will most likely need surgery to have the best chance at recovering.

Before treatment, Sky still needs several expensive tests, including X-rays, bloodwork, urinalysis, radiographs, and most likely an MRI to determine the full extent of the damage. She is currently taking Gabapentin 100mg capsules and Prednisone 5mg tablets to help manage her pain and inflammation while we figure out the next steps in her care.
