My Gratitude, My Journey, and a Request for Your Support
Hello friends, my name is Sizo Mlotshwa. I am profoundly grateful for the life I enjoy—thanks to all the people I know, those I have yet to meet, and even those whose paths will never cross mine. That gratitude found its deepest voice in October 2025, when I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at Wooster Hospital in Ohio.
Ironically, this diagnosis has made me feel more alive—more vividly connected to the essence of humanity than ever before. I’ve been wheeled through hospital corridors, lifted onto operating tables, and cared for in my most vulnerable moments. Your hands and your compassion have kept my spirit alive. From you, I am learning again that humanity is carried forward by countless unsung heroes. I am humbled, and I am very thankful.
Today, I invite you—and the many friends I have yet to meet—to walk with me as I fight this cancer, as so many before me have bravely done. I am seeking to raise USD 50,000 to help cover rapidly rising medical expenses, including chemotherapy, Whipple surgery, hospitalizations, medical transportation, insurance deductibles/copays, home care, and more.
Should your generosity exceed my needs, every remaining dollar will be donated directly to Wooster Hospital. Nothing would mean more to me than seeing the hospital expand its capabilities with an Endoscopic Ultrasound unit—an invaluable tool for earlier and more accurate cancer diagnosis.
Thank you for your unwavering kindness to humanity, including strangers like me. Your support—material, emotional, and in sharing my story with your networks - means more than words can express. No gift is too small to move me to tears.
