Last night, I dropped my kids off at their cousins’ house. They were all staying in a fifth-wheel camper while their family was remodeling their mobile home. There were six kids in total—my four kids, ages 13, 9, 8, and 8, and their two cousins, ages 14 and 10. While they were all asleep, a fire broke out in the camper. Thanks to a brave action by my son, who woke up, they all got out safely. We are beyond thankful that no one was physically harmed, but tragically, both the fifth-wheel camper and the mobile home caught fire and are a total loss. They have lost absolutely everything—they ran out with only their pajamas. They lost all their clothes, shoes, and personal items like tablets, a hot wheels car collections that the 14 year old had been working on for years , dirt bikes family jewelry and heirlooms and so much more that these kids saved their own money for and were so proud to own.
We are raising funds to help this family replace the essentials—clothes, shoes, and basic necessities—as well as those cherished possessions that bring them comfort. If you can, please help us show them that they are loved and supported by their community. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
