Our beloved daughter, Elizabeth, now known as Sister Mary Savio, is a religious sister with the Sisters of St. Thomas Aquinas. She has devoted her life to serving God, her community, and others. Now, after years of serious health struggles, she is in urgent need of help. Sister Mary Savio is living with immense pain, and the doctor in Germany has said he is prepared to perform the surgery as soon as she is able to get there.
After a long search for answers, she was diagnosed with Intercranial Hypertension, a condition involving excess fluid and pressure around the brain. Doctors also discovered compression near the C1 and C2 vertebrae at the brainstem, which is affecting blood flow and causing extreme pressure and pain.
We are very grateful that the Sisters have found a doctor with the knowledge and experience needed to perform the surgery she requires. However, the doctor is located in Germany, and because this is international care, insurance will not cover the cost. We are raising funds to help Sister Mary Savio receive this urgent surgery as soon as possible. The funds will help cover the cost of surgery and medical care for the recovery. Our goal is to raise the needed $65,000 for the Sisters.
All funds raised will go directly to the Sisters/nonprofit organization. Please consider helping Sister Mary Savio receive the care she urgently needs. Any donation, large or small, will be deeply appreciated. If you are unable to give, please consider sharing this page and praying for Sister Mary Savio, the Sisters, her doctors, and all those helping her through this difficult time. Thank you for your generosity, prayers, and support.
