Help Sisi Care for Senior Dog Kayla

Hi Everyone,

My name is Sisi. Unfortunately, I’m coming on here because my baby Kayla is in desperate need of a few things from the vet. She’s currently suffering from cognitive dysfunction (doggie dementia) but has been recommended by our vet to get an MRI to rule out any tumor / neurological issues she may have in her brain causing her to spin in circles endlessly.

She bumps into walls, stares aimlessly into corners, and has a loss of balance and sense of awareness. She no longer remembers where to use the bathroom, or old commands I’ve taught her, so we are constantly cleaning up after her and are up at all hours of the night; and she goes frequently.

Kayla also has a gum disease where her teeth are now starting to fall out and getting the money to give her an MRI/ dental cleaning range in the thousands! The quotes I’ve received for an MRI start at $6,000 and quotes I’ve received for dental cleaning in NYC start at $1,000 with her conditions. And that doesn’t include after care medication costs .

Kayla is now 17 years old and I want to keep her as long as I can. I’ve had her since I was a child and we’ve grown up together. I just want to raise enough money to get my baby the help she needs so that she is not in pain and that she can sleep more comfortably throughout the night without constantly having to use the bathroom, bump into walls and hurt herself, and eat her food with proper medication and no teeth pain.

If you have a senior dog or have ever had to watch your dog age it is a very sad, hard, and painful experience. And the high cost for senior dog care makes the process even more stressful! If you could find it in your heart to donate I would literally cry. I just want to see her age peacefully and not in pain. Anything helps honestly and it would be greatly appreciated.
