Dear Friends, Animal Lovers, and Kind Souls,

I write to you today with a heavy heart, seeking your compassion and support for my dog, Sirus. I adopted Sirus as a puppy back in 2015 and he's been by my side ever since. I was finally was able to bring him from the USA to South Korea last August, after being separated for 2.5 years due to COVID and animal flight restrictions. He is an eight-year-old Pit Bull/Labrador mix who has always brought joy and unconditional love into my life. However, a recent injury has left him in pain and unable to walk properly.

One day while playing outside, Sirus was running around and suddently let out a loud yelp and stood frozen with one leg up, unable to put it down and too scared to move. I had to carry him home and for about 2 days he wouldn't move around the apartment, not even to use the bathroom. I thought maybe it was a small sprain and that with time he would be fine. He slowly started to regain mobility by hopping on 3 legs, but I knew he still needed to see a vet.

After a visit to the vet, we received the devastating news that Sirus has suffered a cranial cruciate ligament rupture. This injury has not only affected his ability to walk but has also hindered his overall quality of life. It breaks my heart to see him limp, hop, and struggle with even the simplest of tasks.

The only hope for Sirus to regain his mobility and alleviate his suffering is through surgery. The surgical procedure involves creating a new ligament for him, enabling him to walk properly and, most importantly, without pain. However, this life-changing operation comes with a significant financial burden. The estimated cost of the surgery is approximately 6 million Korean Won.

I was informed by multiple veterenarians that delaying the surgery could lead to further complications, jeopardizing Sirus's long-term health and well-being. Unfortunately, I find myself in a situation where I cannot afford this expense on my own. That's why I am reaching out to you, dear friends and animal lovers, to help me raise the necessary funds for Sirus's crucial surgery.
