Right now I’m working on getting al my GED. I’ve been saving every extra dollar, but I finally found the perfect entry-level Merchant Mariner training class right here in Florida. It’s the first step toward my TWIC card, my STCW certification, and eventually a spot on a vessel. The class starts in just a few weeks… and the enrollment fee plus the required safety gear and materials is expensive.I have most of the funds so I need just 400 more dollars to fully register in the class.

I’ve already applied, passed the background check, and got accepted. All that’s left is paying that final cost so I can walk into that classroom and start learning. Once I finish the course, I’ll be able to apply for entry-level positions that pay three times what I make now and open doors I never thought possible.
