Hi, and my name is Shamika, I am Sire's mom. Sire is an 8-year-old boy who loves football and school. Sire’s dream is to become a fireman and a professional football player. On March 5, 2023, Sire was outside playing with friends and unfortunately had to be taken to the hospital. An incident occurred where a neighborhood kid was throwing sticks, and one of those sticks hit Sire in the eye. Doctors reported that this incident has caused Sire to have a ruptured globe of the left eye. Appointments have begun to intensify as the weeks continued, and Sire has been in/out of constant surgeries. We are asking for help at this time. There are a lot of expenses that his insurance will not cover. The doctors said that there's a 50% chance that his eye can’t be restored causing him to be completely blind in that eye. However, I am holding on to my faith in God and trusting that everything will work out for the good. I have been an option to purchase a prosthetic eye which will cost $8,000.
