Dear Friends, Family, kin and Animal Lovers,

We’re reaching out to you during an incredibly challenging time. While visiting family in Canada, we received a devastating call from the boarding house where our handsome man Sir Remington (Remi, or as we lovingly call him, Dad) was staying. He had been throwing up consistently, with a reddish-brown colour.

After consulting with our vet, we hoped monitoring would help, but by morning, his condition had not improved. A trusted friend rushed him to the nearest vet hospital in the city over, where tests revealed an obstruction requiring emergency surgery.

The total cost of his care has amounted to $7,500 USD ($10,830 CAD). We’ve rushed to book early return tickets to the U.S. to be by his side, but the unexpected financial burden is too great for us to handle alone. A loved one has kindly covered the immediate costs, but we need to pay them back as soon as possible.

Remi is more than a pet, he’s family. His sweet, goofy personality brings joy to everyone he meets, and we can’t imagine life without him. We’re asking our community for help to cover this life-saving surgery and ensure his full recovery.
