Sipho Sibuyi and his family in Mpumalanga, South Africa, have been devastated by recent flooding that has swept through parts of northeastern South Africa. Their home was severely damaged, leaving them without many basic needs to live.
The recent floods in Mpumalanga and neighboring provinces have been declared a national disaster due to the sheer scale of destruction, with thousands of homes damaged or destroyed and hundreds of families displaced. Heavy rains caused widespread flooding that damaged infrastructure, washed out roads and bridges, and left communities cut off and struggling to recover. Thousands of households have been impacted, and the human toll in the region continues to rise as relief efforts expand.
We recently spent five days in Mpumalanga and were deeply moved by the warmth, generosity, and resilience of Sipho and his community. Seeing the impact of these floods on their lives is heartbreaking, and we want to do everything we can to help them get back on their feet.
With Sipho currently unable to work as a safari driver due to the recent flooding, his family — and the community that surrounds them — urgently need support to repair their home, replace basic necessities, and ensure they have enough food and resources to get through this crisis.
All funds raised through this campaign will be securely transferred to Sipho and his family in Mpumalanga, South Africa, to ensure they receive the support they need directly.
Your donation, no matter the size, will help Sipho, his family, and their community feel safe, supported, and hopeful again. Together, we can help them rebuild their homes and their lives after this devastating event.
