Help single veterinarian, mom severe car accident

Donation protected
I am doing this go fund me for a fellow veterinary mom who had a horrific accident last week.

In her words:

Tuesday February 27th, at 10:27 pm after leaving an ER shift where I work as an emergency veterinarian, I got onto the highway and was hit. I never saw the other vehicle. I remember feeling and hearing an impact and spinning. I also remember hearing the screams from my 7-week old puppy (Maggie) who was in a carrier in the back seat. When I stopped, I couldn’t breathe and fumbled for the seat belt release which was compressing my chest. Witnesses who stopped say I went airborne, cutting down two pine trees before falling back to the ground. I managed somehow to fish my phone by finding the charging cord and called my boyfriend, but I apparently didn’t say anything when he answered. A witness got in my front seat and talked to him. The driver of the other car got out of his car, which came to rest 100 yards in front of mine, and fled the scene. Paramedics arrived at the scene to take me to the hospital. They did not think I would make it and gave the trooper a poor prognosis for my survival. The tow truck driver thought it was a fatal accident when he saw my car. (Maggie was fine and cared for by a rescue organization until my boyfriend could pick her up the next day.) I was hospitalized for 5 days with a broken ankle, broken hip, 3 broken ribs, broken nose, and possible fracture of my left orbit - the bone under my left eye. At this time, surgery is on hold to see how my injuries and healing progress over the next 1-2 weeks at home. However, I may need a total hip replacement at the very least. The other driver is being charged, but did not have insurance. I am a single mom of 3 young children who is now unable to work for the next month or so while I heal. Maybe longer if I need to have surgery. My ex-husband, the father of my children, is out of our lives. So I am the sole provider for my children. My parents are deceased and my closest family are my in-laws, but they are in their 80’s and limited in what they can do. I have a wonderful boyfriend, but we do not live together and he cannot support two households. My faith is strong, and I know God has this. I’m not one to ask for help as I feel like I’m imposing on others and that there is always someone else who needs help more than I do. I just feel guilty asking for help. But my amazing DVM Moms friends have rallied around me offering help. It’s overwhelming, it’s humbling, but most of all, it makes me feel like I matter. That others do care about me. I’m not alone in this life which can be so hard. This fund will go toward my bills and groceries while I’m unable to work, helping to relieve some of the stress I’m feeling worrying about how I’m going to stay afloat. Thank you to all of my sisters in DVM Moms and DVM Christian Moms for your prayers, love, and continued support. You are my family.
