In the early hours of the 1st October 2024, our friend Rachael and her two young boys faced an unimaginable nightmare when their home was deliberately set on fire in a shocking act of domestic violence. They lost everything— their home, their belongings, and their sense of safety.

Rachael is a dedicated mum who works hard to provide for her boys, but this devastating incident has turned their world upside down. With their home destroyed, Rachael is navigating the difficult process of relocating, as their home is no longer safe for them. They will need to replace personal belongings, find a new place to live, and deal with the psychological trauma this incident has caused. It's a heavy burden for anyone to bear, and Rachael finds it hard to ask for help, even though many have reached out wanting to support her and her boys.
