Hi everyone, my name is Bryanna; I'm here to help raise support for my mom, Rachel. My mom has been a single mom of my brother and I most of our lives, doing whatever jobs she needed to do to support us-even if it meant hard laborous work. Her L2, L3, and L4 vertebra have been herniated for a while. However, at the end of June her L2 fractured and a chunk of her vertebra is broken off and stuck her spinal cord, causing debilitating pain. She was seen by a neurosurgeon and told she needs surgery immediately; surgery is scheduled for August 1st. The neurosurgeon also told her that she is not okay to go back to her manual labor intensive job. She has been giving paperwork for temporary disability, but they have not approved it yet and she has been out of work for three weeks already. She will need to remain out of work until the surgery in August and will need a few weeks of recovery afterwords as well. Once disability does kick in it will cover about 60 percent of her pay,but she's a single mom with my little brother still at home and no way to afford the physical rest her broken body needs. Please, if anyone can help my mom so she can have this surgery and rest she desperately needs we would all be forever and incredibly grateful.
