Help a Single Mom & Her Special Needs Son Escape Racial Harassment & Abuse

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out with urgency and love on behalf of my dear friend—a hardworking single mother—who is in desperate need of our support. She and her special needs son have been subjected to relentless harassment and abuse by a neighbor whose behavior has become not just intolerable, but dangerous.

Here’s what they’ve endured:
    •    Racial slurs: This neighbor has repeatedly hurled the N-word at her and her young son in the most hateful, aggressive ways imaginable.
    •    Physical assault: Her son, who lives with special needs, was physically assaulted by this man.
    •    Ableist cruelty: He has called her son dehumanizing names like “retarded,” mocking his disability with no remorse.
    •    Online attacks: He has used social media to spread lies and harmful rumors about them, adding public shame to private pain.
    •    Stalking and harassment: He watches their every move, making them feel like prisoners in their own home.
    •    Legal action: A restraining order had to be filed—that’s how serious and ongoing this is.
    •    Displacement and housing discrimination: After lodging false complaints to a landlord friend, this neighbor succeeded in pushing her out of her home—leaving her scrambling to find safety and stability.

Through all of this, she continues to work full-time to support her child. But she’s single, and despite working hard, she simply doesn’t have the means to cover the unexpected moving expenses that this violence has forced upon her.

This isn’t about revenge. It’s not about drama. It’s about safety. It’s about a mother trying to protect her child.

They deserve to live without fear. To sleep without anxiety. To walk to their car without being watched. To feel human again.

I’m asking you, from the bottom of my heart, to give what you can. Whether it’s $5 or $500, every single dollar helps get them one step closer to peace, healing, and freedom from this trauma.

Your donation will help cover:
    •    First and last month’s rent
    •    Security deposit
    •    Moving truck and related expenses
    •    Basic furnishings and essentials for a new start

This is not just a move—it’s a fight for safety, dignity, and peace.

Please donate, share, and keep them in your thoughts. Let’s show this family that love is louder than hate—and that community means never having to face monsters alone.

With gratitude
