Hello everyone,
My name is Aleksandra, I'm 15 years old and I’m beyond excited to share that I’ve been accepted into the Joffrey Musical Theater Summer Program Pre-Professional Track! This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to train with top instructors and Broadway artists, refine my dance, acting, and singing skills, and take a huge step toward my dream of a professional career in musical theater.
This means the world to me because I come from a small town where dance—especially musical theater—is almost nonexistent. Opportunities to train in this art form are rare, and I’ve worked incredibly hard to seek out every chance to grow as a performer. Attending Joffrey would give me access to the training and mentorship I need to take my passion to the next level!
My Beginnings
I started to dance when I was 4 years old, but I have been in love with theater ever since I could remember! I attended theater summer camp when I was just 3 years old!
Learning to dance has been a long journey, but it has paid off because it is such an integral part of my life that I can't imagine not dancing.
When I was just 8 years old, I was accepted to be part of the first-ever cast in Seattle Opera's inaugural Youth Opera. I even had a special invitation for a holiday video that Seattle Opera did. It was an incredible opportunity, which was short-lived because we had to move from Seattle at the end of the first season.
As I worked on building my ballet foundation, I discovered other forms of dance, such as contemporary, modern, and jazz, that allowed me to express myself fully as an artist.
All of the training and hard work culminated in my acceptance to the premier training company -Joffrey Ballet!
Giving Back Through Dance & Theater
Dance has given me so much, and I love sharing it with others. I’ve volunteered in my community to help bring ballet to elementary school kids, and now I’m working on something even bigger—creating a curriculum for musical theater classes that I can teach at my local dance studio! This way, I can bring the joy of musical theater to more kids who don’t have access to it, just like I wish I had when I was younger.
My mom is also doing her part by creating digital wellness courses for dancers, using her expertise in holistic health to help performers stay strong and resilient. Every contribution to this fundraiser not only helps me—it also helps us create resources that will benefit other dancers!
Why I Need Your Help
I am incredibly grateful to my mom, Karina Klepach, who has always supported my dreams. She’s a single mom and a full-time Doctorate honor student, studying holistic and integrative health to help people thrive physically, mentally, and emotionally. Because of the demands of her studies and the financial challenges of being a student, she has a limited income—which makes covering the costs of this program very difficult.
Between tuition, housing, and travel, the cost of attending Joffrey is significant!
Where Your Donation Goes
Every dollar you contribute will go directly toward making this dream possible! Here’s how the costs break down:
Tuition: $4,000
Housing & Meals: $6,000
Transportation fees: $2,000
Supplies (dance and housing): $1,000
Other Expenses (registration, performance fees, etc): $1,000
Total Goal: $14,000
That’s why I’m reaching out for support—to help me make the most of this incredible opportunity!
