My mortgage balance of about $27,000 is coming due next month and I’m distraught at the prospect of losing everything I’ve worked so hard to build. Running a small niche farm for the past 10 years, trying to live my ideals of sustainability and corporate detachment, has not been very profitable. I have been squeaking by below the poverty line all this time with no surplus for savings. This is the only home my 11-year-old daughter has ever known, and she is heartbroken at the thought of losing our home and animals. My farm profile describes this as a small farm venture with big dreams. The big dream has always been a full circle farm-to-table business, but I’ve never had the resources to grow. At this point, I’m just hoping not to lose our home and way of life. We both would be eternally grateful for any help spreading the word or with donating. Thank you for caring and contributing.
