Help Single Mom Being Sued By Large Church Pastor
Donation protected
A group of us are writing this on behalf of our friend Christine Connor. In spring of 2021, Christine's husband of 14 years left her and they subsequently are in the process of finalizing their divorce as a result. Understandably, this led to incredible confusion, heartbreak and grief. She found herself an unemployed single mother of 4 young kids, having to find a new home, change churches and re-establish herself all while enduring a painful divorce.
Only a few months later, Christine received a knock on her door where she was served a lawsuit by her ex-husband's close friend, employer, and Senior Pastor of her previous church. He is currently suing her for what he claims was defamation. It is our belief that these claims are both baseless and intended to harass and extort money from her.
Even so, she has been forced to hire a lawyer to defend herself against these allegations. Christine's only income is a paid childcare position at another local church that is just a few hours per week, as well as monthly child support. She has no savings. She lives month to month with only the roof over her and her kid's heads.
We are asking for those in our community to please prayerfully consider giving to Christine's legal fund for her to fight against this ongoing legal harassment against her. It is our understanding that the person suing her is a man of power, platform and financial means. She is in a vulnerable position and needs our help.
We love Christine and have all been touched by the incredible mother and friend that she is. She deserves to be protected against this bullying. Please stand with us against what we believe is an injustice against Christine. Your help is greatly appreciated.
