Help Single Mom with MS and Daughter After Devastating Fire

Donation protected
Friends, family, and community members, my niece Nicole and her sixteen-year-old daughter Leeana need your support. Late last night, they lost EVERYTHING, including their two sweet kitties, to a house fire that they narrowly escaped. Nicole and Leeana are some of the kindest, hardworking, amazing humans I know and love, and I’m absolutely heartbroken for them in this moment.

Nicole is a single mom who has worked tirelessly over the past sixteen years as a preschool teacher to support herself and her daughter, Leeana. Nicole also lives with and manages a debilitating health condition, MS. Even through her medical and personal struggles, Nicole’s positivity and resilience never falter; she truly appreciates and prioritizes what is important in life (her daughter, family, friends, and love of people) over anything else. Her daughter, Leeana, is a junior at Clackamas High School and a cheerleader. Leeana’s 17th birthday is THIS WEEK! We literally just celebrated with her this past weekend and every gift she received was destroyed in the fire! Leeana is a great student and friend; she is so sweet and has the biggest heart.

I know that asking for financial donations and help is hard for these two amazing ladies, but I can imagine that the stress and emotional trauma of surviving this horrific fire and losing all of one's possessions in an instant will have deep effects beyond the loss of their material things: time planning next steps, making a temporary home until their house is rebuilt, taking time off of work to process their loss and tend to the recovery process, quickly recovering medications for MS and Leeana’s cheer uniforms for school, getting clothing, shoes, and daily necessities, food, etc. The list continues…

Please help them by contributing what you can during this difficult time. Rebuilding their home and replacing all of their belongings will take time, and I’d like to show them that there is a community behind them, lifting them up at one of their lowest points. They are in need and so deserving of your love and support at this time.

With sincere gratitude,
