I’m raising funds to help 3 children whose father was unjustly taken and detained by ICE while he was at work in chicago this past Friday. Wilfredo is a single father and the sole provider for his kids. In addition to being heartbroken and traumatized the kids and the rest of the family are trying to figure out how to keep he kids in their home(paying rent, food, clothing etc) as well as pay for legal expenses that their dad is facing. They are urgently trying to scramble to come up with the $6,000 for retainer for a habeas corpus filing as the lawyers are saying within 72 hours he will be transferred to another state and then it will become more complicated as well as expensive and lengthy. There is an IMMEDIATE and urgent need for this money. The attorneys have all said he has a solid case due to he was simply picked up based upon his appearance and has never had any warrants or criminal history not so much as a traffic violation. However time is of the essence and this is more money than the family is able to come up with, especially with added expenses and trying to figure out friends and family who can afford to take off work to help take care of the suddenly parent-less kids.
