My name is Sinéad, I am a 30 year old trans woman and activist from Scotland and I'm raising money to pay for facial feminisation surgery. Over the past 4 or so years I've been documenting and archiving Britain anti-trans hate groups, politicians, celebrities and journalists. Chances are if you've shared more than a handful of screenshots of these groups, you've probably shared one of mine. That's why my selfies are blurred, for my safety.

I say 30, that's correct at time of writing, but I don't know if this will be successful or, if it is, how long it'll take. What I do know is I am completely, utterly desperate and I can't wait any longer. I need your help.

Trans healthcare in Britain is in crisis. It is fundamentally broken. I spent years, literally years, waiting to access any form of treatment. Even after all that time, after putting my life on hold, watching the last of my 20s slip away from me for no. good. reason. I find out that the NHS clinic I attend will not even consider the single most important medical procedure I need to live a fulfilling life where I can feel comfortable and safe in my own skin.

That's where you, my dear reader and bestest friend in the whole wide world, come in. If you're able to donate towards this important medical procedure, it would help so, so much. In terms of procedures and costs: I need work on my forehead/hairline, nose and possibly my chin. Costs are likely to run to a minimum of £20,000, probably more. I originally thought £12k but after speaking with a friend whose been through it, I realised I was being wildly optimistic. Either way it's not something I'll ever be able to afford. I will update with  full details - specific procedures and exact costs - the instant I am able to and will keep you all fully briefed every step of the way.
