My name is Ali, and I am raising funds for my brother-in-law, Sina, who has been detained in a U.S. immigration detention center for over a year.
Sina came to the United States in search of safety and a chance to build a better future. Instead, he has spent many long months in detention, separated from his family and facing an uncertain path forward.
Sina is only 20 years old. He has lost valuable time from his life while waiting for his case to move forward. Being in detention for so long has taken a serious emotional toll on him. Every time we speak, we try to keep his hope alive, but it has become increasingly difficult.
Our family has done everything we can to support him. We have already paid for legal representation and multiple court-related expenses. Now, we urgently need additional legal support to continue his case, including filing the next stage of appeal.
I am currently the only person working in our household, earning income through delivery services. While I do everything I can, balancing daily living expenses with ongoing legal costs has become overwhelming.
Because Sina does not have access to a bank account while in detention, I will be managing the funds on his behalf. Every dollar raised will go directly toward his legal fees and essential needs.
We are simply asking for a fair chance — a chance for Sina to continue his case and not lose hope after everything he has been through.
Any support, no matter how small, truly makes a difference
and brings us one step
closer to helping him.
Funds will also help cover additional required expenses related to his case and release process.
Thank you for your kindness, support, and for taking the time to read our story.
