Dear Friends and Neighbors,

As many of you know, 8 condominiums were destroyed in a fire at Simsbury Landing on August 22nd. Many families lost their homes and all of their belongings in this devastating fire. As a neighbor in the complex, I'm working to raise funds to help these families transition to new homes and rebuild their lives. I'm collaborating with the Red Cross and Simsbury Social Services to ensure funds are distributed equitably to each individual affected.

The Red Cross is helping with immediate short-term needs, but there will be many weeks before insurance funds become available. Please consider donating what you can to support our neighbors during this difficult time.

There are some neighbors considering a clothing drive (including food, shoes, school supplies, etc.) and I will update this page when we have a clear collection process. However, the Red Cross has shared that monetary donations are what these individuals need most right now to secure new housing.
