Hello all! My name is Simonne Sequeira, and I am a fourth-year veterinary medical student with a deep passion for service-based medicine and global health. I am raising funds to participate in an upcoming veterinary medical service trip with Floating Doctors, a nonprofit organization that provides free, life-saving medical and veterinary care to underserved communities in remote regions. The service trip I will be participating in is based in Panama for two weeks.
Floating Doctors works in areas where access to veterinary care is extremely limited. Animals in these communities are vital — they provide companionship, food security, transportation, and economic stability. By improving animal health, we directly support the health, well-being, and resilience of the people who depend on them.
During this trip, I will work alongside licensed veterinarians and healthcare professionals to:
- Provide hands-on veterinary medical care in resource-limited settings
- Assist with preventative medicine, treatments, and community education
- Support sustainable, long-term health initiatives for both animals and the people who rely on them
As a veterinary student, this experience will allow me to apply my clinical training in a meaningful, real-world setting while continuing to grow as a compassionate and globally minded veterinarian.
Funds raised will go directly toward:
- Program and participation fees
- Travel and transportation
- Medical and veterinary supplies
- Lodging and basic living expenses during the trip
Every contribution, no matter the size, brings me one step closer to serving communities and animals that truly need it. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser also makes a huge difference.
Thank you so much for your support, encouragement, and belief in my journey and in the mission of Floating Doctors. I am incredibly grateful for the help!
