Hi there, my name is Vanda and I am fundraising for my daughter Simonetta. She has been born with a difference in her left lower arm. I would like my precious daughter to have a hand transplant or prosthetic left forearm.
I was on 6 ultrasounds during my pregnancy but was not detected.
I received a massive shock, now I am experiencing the symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder. Then I felt the whole world was against me and I didn’t want to accept that it had to be this way. Then, as I spent more and more time with my little girl day by day, I felt so much more that I couldn’t change that. I can't make it happen. But then, my husband and friends encouraged me so I said : Maybe we can still change that. In the United States, in 2017, an 8 year old boy had a successful transplant operation with 4 teams of doctors. Dozens of such surgeries have been performed since then. However, this surgery is very expensive. This is how our story begins here, where you are now reading. Of course, Simonetta will have to decide what she wants when she grows up. We just want to support her with the modern technology. We are sure that by the time she gets big enough to decide what she wants.
