Help Simone inspire others as an athlete after her accident.

Every human deserves a second chance to live their dreams while inspiring others. My name is Simone, 40,Im a single woman living in USA who is in love with life, compassionate and motivated towards helping others to become their best selves. So this is my story.

Imagine being told that you will never be able to continue to explore your dreams again? That was what doctors told me after I had a cervical disc displaced and lost all movement and feeling on my right arm. My dream was and it is to train to become an IRONMAN triathlete. The surgery went mildly well , in fact, after it I still had pains from massive nerve damage and an extremely tight and atrophied neck. I am too young for such procedure. Up to then, I was crazy about athleticism and was determined to become a IronMan champion. But how was I going to be able to do that when I could not even move my neck and arm?

I decided that I was going to show the World and prove to myself that I would be able to recover fully and become a great influence inspiring kids and adults from all over the World. I started the long road to recovery. It was 12 months without motor sense on my arm and no motion on my neck but I persevered and headed back to the gym and started to hike to connect with Nature and myself. With all my commitment, discipline, resilience, and heart, I started again seeing results. One year advanced and I was training to compete to become an Ironman.

As I recovered and pushed hard, for 2 whole years I made promises to myself. One was to not moan about my misfortune and the second was that I would get back on the bike, run and swim to be able to guide people to see and realize that “all the possibilities are in front of you”. Any another person would have resigned to failure.

I also had to overcome all the financial challenges that came along with it. I have nobody to rely on in the USA, all my family and friends live in Brazil. Also, even after all the adversities my health took I didn’t have any support from the Corporation job I was working at at that time putting me in a very hard situation to catch up and save to be able to reach my Iroman dream, so I decided to quit and pursue my purpose in life as a Health Wellness Coach.

My goal is to inspire, help people to improve themselves mentally, physically and spiritually. Unfortunately with all the challenges that got presented to me I have been stuck to accomplish my ultimate endeavor of competing on the Ultraman Florida.

I have been invited to and am planning on attending the ULTRAMAN FLORIDA event from February 11-13-2022 in Claremont.

I was one of the 50 athletes selected to compete this year at the ULTRAMAN FLORIDA.

I feel so blessed and lucky to be part of it.

This event includes a registration fee of $2400.00 which doesn't include the costs of hotels on my journey R$ 1800 (17 days) , meals, travel once I arrive in Claremont, FL, and participation within the event. This means I also need to be able to afford the fuel to get me from

San Diego, CA to Clairemont, as well. Driving there alone will be also a great mental draining challenge to endure, besides all the training I am already working on. I need to take my bikes and gear , reason for all the drive needed. It will be worth it.

I’m an unsponsored athlete, and this year has been challenging to find sponsorship due COVID and so many uncertainties. financial support and sponsorships are a greatly appreciated help and factor in supporting my training, travel/airfare, racing, equipment and ultimate success during this season!

Ultraman Florida is three day athletic endeavor guaranteed to test an athlete physical and mental limits. The race covers a total distance of 321.6 miles (517.5Km) around central Florida ; it requires that each athlete complete a 6.2 mille (10km) open water swim, a 2263 mile (423Km) bike ride and a 52.4 (84km) ultra marathon run. It is a journey that will touch my soul and it will remind me why I do what I do and how I want to touch so many people’s lives.

Today I am reaching out for help so I will be able to finally become an ULTRAMAN finisher and inspire everyone by showing that everything is possible.
