Help Simone Beat Metastatic Breast Cancer

Hi. I'm Keanna Sterling and I'm raising these funds on behalf of my mom, Simone Bloomfield-Hodges. Here's her story:

Hello, friends and compassionate souls. I'm Simone a 48-year-old woman who's been facing the toughest battle of her life: metastatic breast cancer.

It's a journey I never anticipated taking, but here I am, fighting with every ounce of strength and courage I can muster. I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer in 2016. I underwent chemotherapy, radiation and a mastectomy. Though this was a difficult and scary experience, I pushed through, especially for my two daughters and was declared cancer-free in October 2017.

In January 2023, after experiencing complications breathing for months, I received the devastating news that breast cancer had spread to my lungs and bones. My world, once again, turned upside down. Since then, it's been a rollercoaster of doctor's appointments, treatments and difficult decisions. But through it all, I've held onto hope and the unwavering support of my loved ones. Living with metastatic breast cancer is challenging in ways I never imagined. The physical toll of undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments again is immense and the emotional toll is just as heavy. It's a constant battle against pain, fatigue and uncertainty about what the future holds.

But despite the hardships, I refuse to let cancer define me. I am determined to keep fighting, to keep living life to the fullest for as long as I can. And that's where you come in. I've created this GoFundMe campaign not only to help alleviate the financial burden of medical bills and treatments but also to ask for your support in another crucial way: by lifting me up with your love, encouragement, and prayers.
