I am a Junior at Lowell High School in San Francisco and have been nominated to represent my school and community at Envision Intensive Law & Trial at Stanford University. By attending Envision Intensive Law & Trial, I will join other motivated students from around the country for an experiential Career Exploration program. As you can see, this will be a powerful experience, enabling me to interact with respected professionals in various fields, while building relationships with students who will be my future colleagues. Attending this program will allow me to further my interest in Law and reach my career goals of becoming an attorney. I maintain a 4.1 GPA, am involved in policy debate, with school, play for the SF Bay Sox all girls baseball and Lowell High School baseball teams, a member of the Red Cross volunteer program, coach and give private baseball lessons to inner city youth, am the Junior Prom Committee Treasurer, a member of the Shield and Scroll Honors Society, a San Francisco City Hall Pre-registering to Vote Ambassador, and started my own club at school (The Lowell Unity Sports Community) about sports inclusivity. Even with all of these activities, I am eager and hungry to do even more, but need your help. Imagine if you had been given this opportunity for a life-changing experience when you were in school and were unable to participate for lack of funds—that is why I am writing to you today. My participation in the program depends on whether I can reach my goal and raise $5,699 in sponsorships.
