We have decided to take the initiative to help a young woman from Lithuania to finish well and return home. Simona has been in the USA for three years of study and training for ministry. She recently finished a three-year program in Redding, CA, and is spending the summer as an intern at the Pasadena International House of Prayer before her student visa runs out. She needs to return to Lithuania by the 20th of August.
She has exhausted her funding and she cannot get a job while here on a student visa. She currently does not have the funds for her return plane ticket.
We are providing temporary housing this week in a small “guest room” in our attic, but with the arrival of hot summer weather, she needs a more suitable space. We have found a good alternative, but she will need to pay for room and board.
We decided the best thing we could do to help would be to create a channel for others to join us in caring for Simona. The funds are needed immediately if she is going to make the transition in the first week of July.
Her estimated expenses are:
800 room rental for 6 weeks (down from 1400 orig)
600 food
200 other
600 plane ticket
Contributions are not tax-deductible and non-refundable. We will receive all funds to be used for Simona’s expenses. Any remaining funds will be sent with her to help her make the transition back to life in Lithuania.
Prayerfully consider joining us in caring for a foreigner in our midst.
For the sake of his name,
Bruce and Linda Koch
