Our family is asking for your help during the most heartbreaking time of our lives.
Simon and Lisa were staying near Bédar, Los Gallardos, Spain, when tragedy struck. A devastating wildfire swept through the area, leaving them fighting for their lives. They were rescued from the mountainside the following day and are now both in critical condition in a hospital in Spain.
When they were found, despite their devastating injuries, Simon and Lisa pleaded with their rescuers to save them because they wanted to see their children again. Thanks to the extraordinary efforts of the emergency services, that wish became a reality, with all three of their children now by their side in Spain. Lisa’s twin sister has also remained with her, just as she always has throughout their lives.
As Simon and Lisa continue to receive lifesaving treatment, our family is facing significant financial pressures that extend beyond what insurance is able to cover. These include loss of earnings, ongoing travel, replacement clothing and essential items, communication costs, and the many unforeseen expenses that come with supporting loved ones through a prolonged medical emergency overseas and during their recovery.
We are raising funds to help ease this financial burden so our family can focus on what truly matters being there for Simon and Lisa as they fight to recover, without the added worry of the financial impact this tragedy has brought. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser with your family and friends.
Your kindness, support and prayers mean more to us than words can express. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your compassion, generosity and support. Whether you donate, share this fundraiser or simply keep Simon and Lisa in your thoughts and prayers, every act of kindness means more to our family than words can express.
Our family would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the people of Spain and the local community for the incredible kindness and support they have shown during this devastating time. We are especially grateful to all of the emergency services involved, particularly the Guardia Civil officers, whose courage and determination against all odds helped fulfil Simon and Lisa’s wish to be reunited with their children.
Pray for Simon and Lisa ❤️
