Simon isn't just the guy thumping upright bass on the boardwalk. He's our resident punk-rock sea creature and full-time neighborhood soundtrack--a pillar of the Rockaway community. He makes our days on the peninsula a little brighter, whether he's sharing the sweet sounds of his salsa ensemble, yelling at foilers to get out of the water, or regaling us with legendary tales of his days on the road.

In early May a rogue wave shattered his ankle. One surgery and a fresh set of screws later, Simon is still gigging but needs a little extra help. Please help us raise funds for his medical bills and/or costs of transportation to and from his gigs.
