At just 37 years old, Simon’s life changed in an instant. What should have been an ordinary day became a fight for survival when he suffered a major stroke. No one ever expects something like this to happen so young, yet here we are—facing months in hospital and a long, uncertain road to recovery.
Right now, Simon is fighting every day to relearn the things most of us take for granted: walking, speaking, and moving independently. It’s exhausting, frustrating, and at times heartbreaking. But if you know Simon, you know his strength, determination, and huge heart.
By his side throughout it all is his partner, Paula, who has been his constant support and rock. After months in hospital, Simon is due to come home on 23rd February, which is a huge milestone—but it also marks the beginning of a new and challenging chapter. His recovery will continue at home and will require ongoing therapy, rehabilitation, and additional support to help him regain as much independence as possible.
Alongside the physical and emotional challenges, the stroke has brought overwhelming financial pressure. The loss of income, continued rehabilitation costs, and the need for support and adaptations at home have placed a heavy burden on them both.
At 37, Simon should be building a future with Paula—not worrying about how they’ll get through each day. That’s why we’re reaching out to friends, family, and anyone who can help lighten this load.
Every single donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward helping Simon’s recovery—covering medical costs, rehabilitation, and the ongoing support he needs as he continues healing at home. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page or keeping Simon and Paula in your thoughts means just as much.
Together, we can help Simon focus on what truly matters: healing, recovering, and rebuilding his life with Paula by his side. ❤️
