Simba is my 3-month-old orange American Shorthair kitten, and he means the world to me. Just a short while ago, he accidentally chewed on one of my brother's computer cords and was electrocuted. It was one of the scariest moments of my life—he stopped breathing, but thankfully, my brother found him in time. We performed CPR on him as we rushed to the vet ER, desperate to save him.

Right now, Simba is in the ICU, fighting for his life. He’s receiving oxygen therapy because the shock caused pulmonary edema, making it hard for him to breathe. The veterinary team has done bloodwork and several diagnostic procedures to give him the best chance at recovery, but the costs are adding up quickly. Every moment in the ICU is critical for Simba, and I want to do everything I can to help him pull through.

Simba is my first adopted kitten, and I love him so much. Seeing him in this condition is heartbreaking, but I know he’s a fighter.
