Simba, my beloved dog, was recently mauled by a group of other dogs. The attack left him severely injured, and for a while, I wasn’t sure if he would make it. I rushed him to the vet, desperate to do everything I could to save his life. The past few days have been incredibly difficult, filled with worry and hope as Simba fought to recover.

Today, I saw a glimmer of hope—Simba got up and used the bathroom on his own, and his body temperature has improved by 10 degrees since yesterday. These small victories mean the world to me, and I am so grateful for every sign that he’s getting stronger. Still, the costs of his emergency care, medication, and ongoing recovery are overwhelming, and I can’t do it alone.
